1 hospitalized after struck by hit-and-run driver while changing tire

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was injured after they were hit by a driver in southwest Oklahoma City on Monday.

According to KFOR, the victim was changing a tire on the shoulder along I-44 when they were hit by the driver. The driver then fled the scene, but a witness was able to follow and report the suspect.

Police arrested the hit-and-run driver along I-240 near South Pennsylvania Avenue.

The victim was rushed to an area hospital and is expected to recover.
