One man was killed and another critically injured in an Oklahoma car accident Tuesday morning.
According to officials with the Oklahoma City Police Department, 32 year-old Charles Kytta, of Broken Arrow, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMSA paramedics. The other man, 21 year-old Cody Zimmier, was transported to St. John Medical Center in critical condition following the accident.
Police say Zimmier was traveling southbound on Oklahoma 11, just north of the Pine Street overpass, when his sport utility vehicle crossed the median and struck Kytta’s BMW in the northbound lanes shortly after 9:00 a.m. Zimmier’s vehicle came to rest upside down. Neither vehicle had any passengers.
The accident remains under investigation.
