2 killed in multi-vehicle crash on Muskogee Turnpike

COWETA, OK – A two-vehicle collision on the Muskogee Turnpike Monday morning claimed the lives of two people, according to KTUL.

The crash occurred when a vehicle strayed off the road and struck a cable guardrail before finally coming to rest in the middle of the road. A second vehicle then struck the first and then went off the side of the road.

First responders pronounced a man from the first vehicle and a woman from the other car died at the scene. One person was hospitalized, but it’s unclear which vehicle they occupied at the time of the collision.

According to police, other vehicles may have struck debris from the wreck.
