Accident in Pauls Valley leaves one dead, another with severe injuries

PAULS VALLEY, OK – A crash involving two vehicles left a woman dead and a man in critical condition, according to KFOR.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the accident occurred Friday night in Pauls Valley.

According to officials, 77-year-old David Allred was driving a 2019 GMC pickup truck northbound on US-77, while 67-year-old Rebecca Odell’s 1997 Chevrolet was heading southbound.

Police say Allred drifted left out of his lane and into the path of Odell’s car.

According to troopers, both drivers were pinned inside of their vehicles until firefighters were able to reach them.

Odell died at the scene and Allred was sent to the hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
