CHANDLER, OK – A 65-year-old man was seriously injured after a pack of dogs mauled him in Lincoln County on Wednesday.

According to KFOR, the man was on a morning walk on a rural road in Chandler when the dogs took the man down and began attacking.

Someone found the man’s body severely injured and called 911. He was flown to OU Health in Oklahoma City to undergo surgery.

Two of the dogs were captured and taken to an area veterinary clinic.

Lincoln County Sheriff Charlie Dougherty says the dogs came from a nearby marijuana grow operation. Although the business is licensed within the state, the operation was busted just last month for selling cannabis out of state and on the black market.

The incident remains under investigation. Authorities are looking for someone responsible for the dogs to press charges.
