News Channel 4 reported on July 14 that a woman claimed her daughter acquired herpes at an Oklahoma daycare.

According to the little girl’s mother, Consuela Smith, her daughter acquired the herpes simplex one virus from a teacher at ChildTime daycare center. Smith said that she took her baby to a doctor after noticing that she developed painful blisters that bled around her mouth. The doctor advised Smith that the blisters were, in fact, herpes. ChildTime daycare confirmed that the teacher, who was not identified, was positive for herpes and said that they will conduct an investigation.
