Child hurt in Oklahoma school bus mishap

A recent accident in Choctaw, Oklahoma involving a school bus and a pickup truck resulted in one injury, an article of KOCO News reported on September 14.

Information coming from Oklahoma Police revealed a two-vehicle accident took place close to Indian Meridian Road and Southeast 44th Street. A school bus from the Choctaw-Nicoma Park School District was struck by a pickup truck near Triple X Road. Responding authorities confirmed that an injured child was treated at the scene for minor injuries and was later discharged. Another school bus went to the scene to bring students home. Parents were also allowed to pick up their children. A photo of the mishap showed the pickup crashed the left side of the school bus from behind. Though no one was arrested, authorities issued several citations to the pickup truck driver for committing violations related to traffic.
