Crews respond to series of fires at downtown Oklahoma City home

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Two separate fires were reported early Friday morning at the same residence near Scissortail Park in downtown Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.

Fire crews first responded to the scene at the home near Southwest 4th Street and South Walker Avenue at about 4:00 a.m.

Officials said firefighters had initially been called after a car had caught fire. The vehicle was destroyed in the incident.

Nearly four hours later, crews were called back due to a fire in the residence, which they were able to quickly extinguish.

As of this writing, no injuries were reported in either incident.

Investigations into both events were underway.
