Driver injured in crash with power pole near north Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person was hospitalized Wednesday morning after crashing their vehicle into a power pole in north Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.

The accident took place on Wilshire Boulevard, just west of the Broadway Extension Highway (U.S. Highway 77). It was first reported by KOCO at 8:53 a.m.

No details have been shared regarding what led up to the crash, but the impact of the crash caused the pole to snap in half.

The extent of the victim’s injuries was not disclosed, but authorities said the patient is expected to recover.

Crews with OG&E were called to the scene for repairs.
