Elderly man killed in rollover crash on Hwy 29 in Stephens County

BRAY, OK (STEPHENS COUNTY) – An elderly man was killed in a rollover crash on Highway 29 in Stephens County yesterday afternoon, according to information from KFOR.
The crash happened just before 3 p.m. east of Bray on OK-29 near N 3010 Road, when the driver of a 2002 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, 81-year-old Foster resident Joe R. Compton, ran off the left side of the highway.
Compton returned to the roadway, then went off the right side of the highway. The Tacoma overturned multiple times, causing Compton to be pinned within the wreckage for around two hours.
Compton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fire officials had to use the jaws of life in order to extricate his body from the wreckage.
