Elk City firefighter killed in crash on I-40

ELK CITY, OK – A local firefighter was killed in a car crash on I-40 west of Clinton Thursday night.
Jacob Wing, a 29-year-old Elk City firefighter was driving westbound on I-40 when the incident occurred, reports News9. Police say he slowed for traffic ahead when another driver rear-ended his vehicle.
After impact, both vehicles traveled off the road and into a construction zone.
Wing was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s not clear whether the other driver was injured.
