According to officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 26 year-old Lucero Alvarado was transported to St. Francis Hospital after the car crash. She died at St. Francis the following day.

A report released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Alvarado was traveling eastbound on West 40th Street North about a mile east of U.S. 69 when she lost control of her vehicle. The car ran off the left shoulder of the road and rolled three times. Alvarado was ejected from the vehicle. She was found 27 feet away from the wreckage.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol listed the cause of the crash as unsafe speed.

Alvarado was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, police say.

Last month Eric Stutts’ son, 5 year-old Adam Stutts was killed when an allegedly drunk driver crashed into the family’s car last month. According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 29 year-old Brennan Guidry crashed his 1994 Chevy Suburban as he attempted to cross an intersection at Pecan Road and Gate Road. A Kay County Sheriff’s deputy tried to stop Guidry for traffic violations shortly after 8:00 p.m. Guidry’s vehicle rolled as failed to cross the intersection. Guidry was partially ejected from the vehicle. He sustained massive injuries to his head.

He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The pursuing deputy was not injured in the accident.

Oklahoma City police officials said officers were called to the scene of an accident at the intersection of South Western and Interstate 240. According to Lt. Daniel Stewart, the man responsible for the accident was driving under the influence.

The crash occurred shortly after 7:00 p.m. when the impaired man smashed into a car that was stopped at a red light. The impact of the collision pushed the car into the intersection where it was struck by another vehicle.

The driver of the first vehicle was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released into police custody.

The accident occured on I-35 about two miles north of the Oklahoma state line. According to Kansas Highway Patrol, a car traveling sout apparently attempted to execute an illegal u-turn in front of a southbound semi-truck. The truck driver could not stop in time and smashed into the vehicle.

Authorities say 23 year-old Lindsey Shain, 27 year-old Chad Kingsley, 22 year-old Johnette Grimes, and 39 year-old Michael Minor were all killed in the accident. 27 year-old Michael Meyer was critically injured and transported to Wesley Medical Center.

The driver of the semi, 34 year-old Miguel Hernandez was uninjured in the crash.

According to police, none of the passengers of the car were wearing seat belts.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 50 year-old Ronnie Roden suffered head, arm, leg, and internal injuries in an accident that occurred on State Highway 88 shortly before 12:30 a.m.Thursday. Troopers say Roden was traveling northbound responding to a call, when his patrol car left the side of the roadway entering a ditch and rolled onto its top.

The incident took place just south of the town of Tiawah, about seven-and-a-half miles south of Claremore.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.

Muskogee Public Schools Director of Transportation, Anne Henry, said three Cherokee Elementary School students were injured when a car hit their school bus. The accident occurred shortly before 8:00 a.m. as the bus was traveling south on Seventh Street. An eastbound car ran a stoplight at the Okmulgee Avenue intersection and struck the front left side of the bus.

Of the 20 children on the bus, two girls and a boy were transported to Muskogee Regional Medical Center for observation. No one involved in the crash sustained life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was also taken to MRMC.

Grady County police officers were on the lookout for Stephen Tennery and his 9-month-old son Wednesday afternoon, when Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Chris West spotted the man driving on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike. Police officers attempted to stop Tennery but were unsuccessful. He was later spotted, shortly before 2:00 p.m., driving erratically on U.S. 62 at speeds in excess of 100 mph.

The chase ended when Tennery crashed his pickup truck on a rural gravel road. The truck flipped, but Tennery attempted to escape on foot with his infant son. Troopers were able to take him into custody and recover the child.

The 9-month-old was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Oklahoma State Troopers say the driver of the vehcile, 45-year-old Wilma Wilson, of Denison, swerved to avoid a cow in the road and crashed into a ditch. Wilson is listed in good condition at MCSO in Durant.

The passengers of the vehicle were also injured. 43-year-old Selena Huff of Sherman, sustained a head and neck injury; 46-year-old Elona Huff, of Denison, was airlifted to Plano Medical Center with internal injuries. Both women are listed in stable condition.

Wilson’s grandson, seven-year-old Demetrous Taylor, was also in the vehicle and suffered minor injuries. He was treated and released on Saturday night.

23-year-old William Evans was traveling north on State Highway 82, 7.7 miles north of Vian, shortly before 4 a.m., Friday when he gradually ran off the left side of the road. The 1987 Ford Bronco traveled 150 feet down a ditch and struck a tree. Evans was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The cause of the crash is unknown. Evans was pinned against the tree for approximately an hour and ten minutes before being freed by the Blackgum Fire Department.
