GM recalls SUVs with airbag and seat belt defects

A new massive recall was issued by General Motors (GM) for millions of older model Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) that have been found to have potential problems with their airbags and seat belts, an article published by Fox News on March 18 stated.

In the new recall, at least 1.18 million older models of Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook SUVs were affected by the problem. Reports state that the front and side airbags, in addition to the seatbelts in the SUVs, may not work properly should drivers ignore the warning signal on the dashboard.

In February, the automaker also issued a large recall that affected millions of vehicles that were linked to fatal crashes due to defective ignition starters.
