Graco recalls nearly 3.8 million child car seats

Almost 3.8 million car seats with defective belt buckles were recalled by Graco.

The recall affects 11 different models of Graco car seats manufactured from 2009 to 2013. The defective belt buckles do not unfasten in some circumstances. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) this can be extremely hazardous when quick evacuation is necessary.

This recall is the fourth largest car seat recall in U.S. history. Graco spokeswoman, Ashley Mowrey said that Graco would replace the defective buckles for free.
