I-44 Reopens After 35-Car Pileup

Interstate 44 has reopened after a 35-car pileup in southwest Oklahoma City early Wednesday morning closed the road for two days.

Northbound lanes of the Interstate were shutdown after the 6 a.m. crash near South West 149th Street near the Canadian River Bridge. Five people were transported to the hospital following the pileup.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol say that fog was a major contributor to the wreck, as well as icy conditions on the bridge.
