Man dead after rollover crash on Turner Tpk east of Stroud

STROUD, OK – A man died as a result of a rollover crash east of Stroud on the Turner Turnpike this morning, according to information from KTUL.

The crash happened on the westbound Turner Turnpike, about five miles east of Stroud, at around 11:30 a.m., when 74-year-old driver Lawrence Manos’s Ford F-150 pickup truck collided with the center barrier.

The vehicle then crossed the highway and ran off the side of the turnpike. He struck a barbed wire fence and a tree, and his pickup truck overturned and landed upside-down.

Manos was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
