Man drowns in Fort Gibson Lake

FORT GIBSON LAKE, OK – Troopers have recovered the body of an elderly man who drowned Sunday morning, reports News 9.

Ernie Lemon Jr., 84, informed his family he was going to get a paddleboat in the Hickory Creek Cove area of the lake. That was the last time anybody saw him alive.

His body was recovered by Highway Patrol. He was not wearing a life jacket. Troopers have not released the time and date of the body recovery.
