Man struck, killed by object sticking out of trailer near Okemah

OKEMAH, OK – A pedestrian was fatally struck by an object sticking out of a trailer as he was walking on I-40 earlier this month, KTUL reports.

On September 2, Kip Keith, 34 was walking on the shoulder of I-40 in a construction zone near Okemah when he collided with the object.

Emergency crews responded to the incident around 4 p.m. and pronounced Keith dead at the scene.

The driver did not stop after the incident.
