Multi-vehicle crash hospitalizes, kills driver near Chickasha

CHICKASHA, OK – A multi-vehicle collision near Chickasha took the life of a woman on Wednesday, according to Yahoo.

Samantha Gunnoe, 36, was driving east on the section of U.S. 81 roughly a half mile south of Country Club Rd when she pulled out in front of a car and was struck on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The impact of the collision pushed the vehicle into the northbound lane of the road where it struck a pickup. That collision then sent Gunroe’s car into a metal gate which then bounced the car into a pickup where it fina:lly came to rest.

Emergency crews responded to the the area after receiving reports of the accident at 8:47 a.m. They extracted Gunnoe using the Jaws of life and transported her to Grady Memorial Hospital where she died from her injuries.

The driver of the first vehicle that struck Gunnoe’s car was also admitted to the same hospital. They were released after receiving medical treatment for injuries to the arm.
