OHP respond to fatal 2-vehicle collision on US 70

DURANT, OK – According to KFOR, a driver fatally collided with a semi-truck Monday on U.S. 70.

Jordan L. Cottingame, 26, was driving a Pontiac Vibe on eastbound U.S. 70 when he strayed into oncoming traffic and collided with the semi-truck. The impact ejected Cottingame from the Vibe.

Bryan County EMS took Cottingame to Alliance Durant. AirEvack then transported Cottingame to OU Medical, where he died. Cottingame was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt in the incident.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash.

The exact location of the crash is unclear.
