OK Man Killed in Friday Morning Car Crash

A man from Vian, Oklahoma died early Friday morning from injuries sustained in a car accident.

23-year-old William Evans was traveling north on State Highway 82, 7.7 miles north of Vian, shortly before 4 a.m., Friday when he gradually ran off the left side of the road. The 1987 Ford Bronco traveled 150 feet down a ditch and struck a tree. Evans was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The cause of the crash is unknown. Evans was pinned against the tree for approximately an hour and ten minutes before being freed by the Blackgum Fire Department.
