Two Oklahoma children were recently hospitalized due to serious sunburns they sustained while in the care of their daycare at a splash park, an article from KTLA 5 reported.
Reports said that the two brothers, 7-year-old Connor and 5-year-old Trae, were taken to the splash park on July 24 with their daycare, Happiness is a Learning Center. According to the caregivers, they “did not have sunscreen and the boys refused to keep their shirts on”. The boys’ mother, Shaunna Broadway, says her kids were both crying in pain when she picked them up that day. Both kids were admitted to the hospital for severe burns that reached the third degree. The daycare facility has been permanently closed since the incident.
