One dead after rollover crash on NE 23rd St in NE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person died Thursday morning following a rollover collision near the Lincoln Terrace neighborhood in northeast Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.

The fatal accident occurred on Northeast 23rd Street near Santa Fe Avenue, west of the Oklahoma State Capitol building. It was first reported by KOCO at 7:22 a.m.

Oklahoma City Police has not shared the cause of the crash, but officials said a vehicle was traveling westbound on the road when it overturned near the intersection.

It was unclear whether the victim had been taken to a hospital.

A section of Northeast 23rd Street was shut down as authorities investigated.
