The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission stated on February 25 that Cosco is recalling an estimated 273,000 aluminum hand trucks that may cause harm to consumers.

According to the recall, the wheel hub in the 3-in-1 trolleys may break and shoot off parts during operation. If the problem occurs during operation, users or even other people near the hand trucks are at risk of sustaining lacerations or bruises. Cosco reportedly was aware of 10 incidents of wheel hubs breaking, four of which involved injuries. People who own the hand trucks, which were manufactured in China, are advised to refrain from using the product and notify Cosco to get a repair kit for free.
