Pedestrian fatally hit by drivers on I-40 in west Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A 57-year-old man died Wednesday night after being struck by multiple vehicles on Interstate 40 in west Oklahoma City, reports KTUL.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred just east of Morgan Road at about 10:30 p.m.
The circumstances behind the event remain unclear, but officials said the man walked into an I-40 traffic lane moments before he was hit by a Chevy Avalanche. The male pedestrian fell onto the roadway and was then struck by a suburban.
Troopers confirmed the victim died from his injuries at the scene.
Both drivers were not reported hurt.
An investigation into the cause of the crash was being led by the OHP. No further updates have been released at this time.
