Pedestrian hit, hurt by minivan while crossing NE Oklahoma City road

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A man was injured Monday morning in a pedestrian crash involving a minivan near northeast Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.

The incident was said to have occurred off East Memorial Road shortly after 9:30 a.m.

According to witnesses, the man was crossing a nearby intersection when he was struck by a driver in a minivan. The impact of the crash threw the victim about 40 feet from the site.

The victim was assisted by staff from an area medical office before medics arrived at the scene.

At this time, officials have not disclosed details on the patient’s condition.

The driver remained at the scene after the crash. It was unclear whether any charges are expected to be filed.
