Pedestrian hit, injured by pickup truck near downtown Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person was hospitalized early Friday morning after being struck by a driver in a pickup truck near downtown Oklahoma City, reports KFOR.

First responders arrived at the scene on Northwest 10th Street and North Broadway Avenue, shortly after 12:30 a.m.

Details are limited, but investigators said the pedestrian was walking in the road when they were hit.

The victim suffered critical injuries and was rushed to an area hospital.

Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

It is unclear whether any charges are expected to be filed, but an investigation was underway.
