Pedestrian loses leg after being hit by pickup near Tamarac

TULSA, OK – A pedestrian lost their lower right leg after being hit by a pickup truck at E 31 St and 129th E Ave Saturday, KJRH reports.

The Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was driving westbound E 31st when he struck the victim and severed their leg. The pickup truck left the scene and did not stop and render aid to the pedestrian.

A witness applied a tourniquet on the victim’s leg until first responders arrived at the scene and hospitalized the victim in critical but stable condition.

Police are on the lookout for the truck that struck the victim. According to a video taken during the collision, the suspect’s vehicle is a white Tacoma with an extended cab, tinted windows, and step bars. It will most likely have damage to the right front side.

The suspect vehicle did not stop and from the video appeared to be a white extended cab Toyota Tacoma with step bars and tinted windows.
