Spencer man looses eye in fireworks accident

SPENCER, OK – A fireworks accident cost a man an eye on July 4th, reports KFOR.

The accident happened during a celebration at Douglas and N.E. 36th St around 8:30 p.m.  According to the victim’s friends at the scene, the accident was caused by a firework malfunction that hit them in the eye.

Following the accident, the man was hospitalized. Medical personnel could not save the man’s right eye.
