OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Emergency Services in downtown Oklahoma City have reported injuries as the result of a crash near Centennial Highway Monday afternoon.

According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the crash occurred near the intersection of Northeast 10th Street and North Oklahoma Avenue.

Fuel spill reported north of Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials are reporting a fuel spill just north of downtown Oklahoma City Tuesday morning.

The fuel spill occurred at the intersection of North Pennsylvania Avenue and Northwest 23rd Street near the Shepherd Mall.

There have been no reported injuries as a result of the spill, but delays are likely in the area between North West Penn Ave. and 23rd St.

Injuries reported in crash near Kilpatrick Turnpike on-ramp

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials in Oklahoma City are reporting injuries in a crash near the Kilpatrick Turnpike eastbound.

A call came in to authorities around 7:30 p.m. Monday they responded to the incident at the on-ramp near the 2000 block of West Memorial Road along the turnpike.

The severity of the injuries sustained and identities of those involved have not yet been released by Oklahoma City Police.

The accident is likely to shut down the 2000 block of West Memorial Road and the on-ramp until the wreckage can be cleared and road reopened.

Oklahoma Senator injured along Turner Turnpike

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Senator Allison Ikley-Freeman from Tulsa was traveling to the Capitol when her vehicle hydroplaned and hit another vehicle already on the side of the Turner Turnpike Friday morning.

According to KFOR, the previous driver’s vehicle also hydroplaned and was sent into a roadside ditch. Soon after, Sen. Ikley-Freeman hydroplaned in the same spot and also ran into the ditch.

The first driver, 44-year-old Enrique Lopez was unharmed when he slid off the road. However, he was killed when the second car ran into his.

The senator was transported to OU Medical Center and underwent surgery for her injuries. She is currently in stable condition.

The highway closed between Bache Road and Haileyville.

It reopened after 3:00 p.m.

Drivers traveling at speeds as high as 146 mph

Oklahoma City has turned into what the Oklahoma City Highway Patrol is calling the “Wild West.” As Covid-19 continues to keep many at home and off the roads, Oklahoma City Police have reported vehicles going at speeds over 100 mph. In one case, a motorbike was reported to be traveling 146 mph.
