Pedestrian loses leg after being hit by pickup near Tamarac

TULSA, OK – A pedestrian lost their lower right leg after being hit by a pickup truck at E 31 St and 129th E Ave Saturday, KJRH reports.

The Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was driving westbound E 31st when he struck the victim and severed their leg. The pickup truck left the scene and did not stop and render aid to the pedestrian.

A witness applied a tourniquet on the victim’s leg until first responders arrived at the scene and hospitalized the victim in critical but stable condition.

Police are on the lookout for the truck that struck the victim. According to a video taken during the collision, the suspect’s vehicle is a white Tacoma with an extended cab, tinted windows, and step bars. It will most likely have damage to the right front side.

The suspect vehicle did not stop and from the video appeared to be a white extended cab Toyota Tacoma with step bars and tinted windows.

Pedestrian critically injured on Hwy 412 near Gilcrease Museum Rd

TULSA, OK – A pedestrian was struck while walking on the westbound ramp of Hwy 412 near Gilcrease Museum Rd Tuesday, News on 6 reports.

The driver told police she attempted to avoid striking a man walking in the road but was unable to swerve out of the way in time. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Following the collision, the woman called for help from a nearby convenience store. She cooperated with the police after they arrived and voluntarily submitted a blood test.

Officers are still on the lookout for the other pedestrian that was walking with the victim.

Motorist strikes teen skateboarder near Maple Ridge

Officers were dispatched around 9:30 a.m. to the intersection of East 31st St and Riverside Dr.

According to security guards at Gathering Place, a public amusement park at 2650 S John Williams Way East, the boy consumed alcohol at the skate park and then attempted to cross the street on his skateboard when he was struck by the vehicle.

Police said they will not file charges against the driver.

The teen was hospitalized and is under observation.

Multiple drivers strike, kill pedestrian on I-40

OKLAHOMA CITY, Ok – A person was killed after being struck by multiple drivers on I-40 Friday morning, reports KFOR.

First responders reported to the section of I-40 near Martin Luther KingAve at around 2:30 a.m., after receiving reports of a driver striking a body in the road.

The number of vehicles that struck the individual is unclear.

The events leading up to the accident are also unknown at this time.

Pedestrian injured in collision in Warr Acres

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian in Warr Acres Wednesday morning, reports News 9.

The collision took place at Northwest 39th Expressway and Grove Ave at about 5:30 a.m. The victim, an unidentified male, was apparently operating a lawn mower at the time of the accident. His condition is unknown at this time.

Police are monitoring surveillance video from businesses in the area in hopes of getting a description of the vehicle.

RV strikes, kills man in Norman

NORMAN, OK – A woman died in Norman Tuesday evening after being struck by an RV, reports KOCO.

The incident occurred at the intersection of I-35 and Main St and was reported around 10 p.m.

Forrest Ford, 26, was trying to cross the street when he was struck by the RV. Emergency crews pronounced Ford dead at the scene. The driver of the RV was uninjured. Oklahoma Highway Patrol are still investigating the incident.
