Tulsa man killed in crash on State Hwy 20 near Owasso

OWASSO, OK (ROGERS COUNTY) – A man from Tulsa was killed in a crash on State Highway 20 near Owasso on Friday afternoon, according to information from KFOR News.
The crash happened about five miles east of Owasso on OK-20, east of County Road EW 480, just after 4 p.m.
The driver of a 2009 Honda Civic was headed eastbound when he traveled off the right side of OK-20. He overcorrected his vehicle, sending him across the center line and the left side of the roadway. He overcorrected his car once more, then crashed into the driver’s side of a 2003 GMC Yukon.
The driver of the Civic, a 45-year-old man from Tulsa, died at the scene.
The other driver refused treatment at the crash scene.
Authorities believe that speed may have played a role in the collision.
