MIDWAY, OK – Two people from Seminole were seriously hurt after they were ejected from a semi-truck during a single-vehicle collision yesterday in Lincoln County, according to KFOR.

The accident happened on SH-102, about six miles north of Midway at about 4 p.m. when the back wheels of a 2006 Volvo semi-truck, driven by 44-year-old Shawn Allen Gray, went off the road.

Gray overcorrected the truck, causing the truck to go off the opposite side of the road. He attempted to correct the truck’s path once more, and the vehicle rolled over four times before landing upside-down.

Gray was ejected five feet from the truck and a passenger, 29-year-old Jose De Jesus Santillan Lopez, was ejected about 50 feet.

Both men were taken to the University of Oklahoma Hospital for the treatment of severe injuries, including wounds to the head and internal organs.

No other vehicles were reported as being involved in the crash.
