Update: Man collides with, kills mother with stolen truck

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A mother is dead after her vehicle was struck by a truck stolen from a construction site, reports KOKO.

Wacey Mickles , 38, stole the truck that was left running with the keys in it from a construction site at the intersection of 30 St and Central Ave around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Police spotted the truck near the intersection of 16th Street and Martin Luther King Ave about thirty minutes later and began the pursuit.

The pursuit lasted about six minutes and ended with Mikles slamming into the victim’s car. Star Shells, 28, was pregnant. Shells was hospitalized at OU Medical Center where she died from her injuries.

Mickles was also hospitalized at OU Medical center. He was later arrested for felony eluding, possession of meth, and second degree murder.
