Woman charged with manslaughter in connection to crash that killed 1 man, 2 children

PAYNE COUNTY, OK – A woman was charged with three counts of manslaughter for the fatal crash near Perkins that killed a man and two kids last year.

The woman, Lillian Smith, was under the influence of marijuana when she collided with a vehicle on Highway 33 in Payne County, reports KTUL. The vehicle she hit had five occupants including three small children.

Two of the children ages four and seven were killed in the crash.

Braden O’Rourke, the boyfriend and an occupant in Smith’s vehicle was also pronounced dead.

Smith turned herself in on Thursday after learning the Oklahoma Highway Patrol had issued a warrant for her arrest.
