Woman dies in Friday morning fire

OKLAHOMA, OK – A woman died in a fire Friday at 2:40 a.m. according to KOCO5.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to a house fire at southeast 44th Street and Sunnylane Road.

The Fire Department found the home’s front door open. Neighbors attempted to enter but could not get beyond a few feet into the home.

Firefighters discovered the woman’s body in the house’s kitchen.

After extinguishing the fire, they conducted a more extensive search and found no additional victims.

The cause of death and the cause of the fire are under investigation.
