SAPULPA, OK – A woman struck a parked truck after driving erratically on Dewey Ave Monday afternoon, reports the Sapulpa Times.

A woman was driving a Chevrolet Trax east on Dewey Ave at around 4:35 p.m. when she strayed into the westbound lane and nearly struck a police vehicle.

The police vehicle, operated by Sapulpa Police Major Diehl, turned around and tried to pull the car over. The woman was unresponsive to the sirens and lights coming from the police car.

She then struck a Chevrolet Truck as she passed the Creek County Courthouse. Officers pulled in front of the woman’s SUV to stop the woman from driving further down Dewey Ave.

Once stopped, the woman was not entirely coherent. Officers noticed she was wearing a hospital bracelet and believe the erratic driving could be attributed to a medical condition. They then called an ambulance to look over the woman and provide medical care.
