Woman struck, killed after getting flat tire on US-177

STILLWATER, OK – A woman was killed when she was hit by a vehicle while assessing her flat tire near Stillwater on Monday.

According to KFOR, the woman’s 2012 Nissan Versa broke down in a northbound lane of US-177  at about 11 a.m.

Shortly after the woman stopped, a man in a Ram pickup truck also pulled over to assist her. While they were checking on the flat tire, a third vehicle careened into the Nissan, striking the woman.

The victim, who has been identified as 48-year-old Leslie Escoe, was pronounced dead at the scene.
