OWASSO, OK – One person has died, another was injured, and two firefighters were hospitalized after an explosion at a home in Owasso on Thursday.

According to Fox 23, the fire broke out at a residential property near 81st Street and the Owasso Expressway when tobacco smoke caused an oxygen machine to explode. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find one man already dead, but they were able to pull his elderly mother from the blaze.

As they were effecting the rescue, a supplemental oxygen tank exploded and injured two firefighters. Both are expected to recover, as is the elderly woman.
