1 person dead, 1 injured in Stephens County rollover crash

EMPIRE CITY, OK (STEPHENS COUNTY) –A crash in Stephens County led to the death of a woman and the injury of a man early this morning, according to News 9.

The crash happened on southbound County Road 2720 at around 4:30 a.m., when the driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, Jose Garcia III, lost control of his vehicle. The Silverado went off the left side of the road and overturned twice.

The driver and his passenger, 36-year-old Comanche resident Jayme Garcia, were ejected from the vehicle.

Jayme Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jose Garcia was taken to the hospital, then later left, reportedly against medical advice.

The crash remains under investigation.
