CYRIL, OK – A 15-year-old girl is in the ICU after a football goalpost fell on her and pinned her to the ground on Monday, according to KFOR.

Jenessa Thompson was posing for photographs with her cheer team when the goalpost came down on top of her, striking her in the head. It is unclear what caused the collapse.

Witnesses say that Thompson was unresponsive when she was pulled from beneath the post. She was taken to the OU Medical Center by helicopter, and was treated at the ICU for several injuries, including a possibly dislocated jaw.

As of Monday night, she was said to have been responding well to her treatment.
