Authorities say 18 people were injured Saturday when a charter bus en route to Oklahoma City crashed.
According to officials with the Department of Public Safety, the bus was traveling from Dallas to Oklahoma City and stuck a concrete barrier early Saturday on a highway just north of Sanger. The bus did not overturn, but passengers were ejected through side windows that opened and broke on impact.
Police say the accident occurred when the bus driver tried to avoid a vehicle that had swerved in front him.
Eighteen of the 33 passengers on board the bus were transported to area hospitals with varying degrees of injuries. One person was taken by air ambulance to a Dallas hospital in serious condition.
