STILLWATER, OK – A woman and small child were taken to the hospital after a collision involving a semi-truck in Stillwater Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Ponca Post, the accident took place at about 4:21 p.m. along State Highway 51 just east of Fairgrounds Road.

Police say 29-year-old Erica Waffle crashed her 2016 Toyota into a 2012 Peterbilt tractor-trailer that was unoccupied.

It is still unclear what led up to the crash. However, Waffle was airlifted to OU Medical Center in stable condition and her 3-year-old occupant was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
