2-vehicle crash on I-44 injures 2

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two people were injured following a multi-vehicle collision on the section of northbound I-44 south of 23rd St, Kay NewsCow reports.

Devon Whitmire, 21 was driving a Chrysler Town and Country minivan on northbound I-44 when he struck the back of a Ford Focus operated by Ronald Clairborne, 52.

The impact sent Clairborne’s vehicle off the road and into a fence. Whitmire’s van also left the road. It rolled multiple times before coming to a rest right-side-up. The collision ejected Whitmire from the van.

First responders transported Whitmire to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Clairborne was treated at a hospital and was then released.
