20-year-old man injured in motorcycle accident near Garber

GARBER, OK – Richard Dylan Staerkel, a 20-year-old from Garber, was hospitalized following an early morning motorcycle accident east of of Enid.

According to The Enid News and Eagle, the accident occurred along a private driveway near U.S. Highway 412, about 2 miles west of the intersection with Oklahoma 74, at around 1:30 a.m.

Staerkel did not allow enough time for an automatic gate to open and rammed into it on his 1997 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City and is in stable condition with injuries to his head and arm.
