Four students were injured in an Oklahoma City school bus accident on Thursday.

According to officials with the Oklahoma City Police Department, the school bus was heading to Emerson Alternative School shortly before 8:00 a.m. Thursday when the accident occurred. Police say the bus driver had exited Interstate 40 and was traveling north on Classen Avenue when the bus struck a wall. There were six people, including the driver, on-board the bus at the time of the crash.

According to Emergency Medical Services Authority Spokeswoman Lara O’Leary, the four injured students, a 16 year-old and three 17 year-old students, were transported by ambulance to two area hospitals. O’Leary said the students were listed in good condition. A fifth student on the bus was not injured in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation by the Oklahoma City Police Department.
