MINCO, OK – Troopers are investigating the cause of a collision that took the life of a 77-year-old Anadarko man on Saturday morning.

According to Chickasha News, the two-vehicle crash took place as Artemis Moreno was loading a car onto his pickup truck along OK-37 about two miles east of Minco.

Troopers say a pickup truck attempted to swerve to avoid sticking Moreno’s truck. In the process, the pickup struck Moreno, his truck, and the vehicle is loaded into the rear.

Moreno was pronounced dead by troopers at the scene. The 20-year-old man in the pickup, Brian McConnell, was unhurt. Police believe he may have been under the influence when the accident occurred.
