At least two people hurt in fiery, multi-truck crash on Turner Tnpk

ARCADIA, OK (OKLAHOMA COUNTY) – Injuries were reported after a multiple-truck accident involving at least one vehicle fire on the Turner Turnpike this afternoon, according to KFOR.

The crash occurred northeast of Oklahoma City on the Turner Turnpike, near Post Road, at 3:14 p.m., when multiple vehicles collided. Several semi-trucks were reportedly involved, with at least one of them catching fire as a result.

Authorities reported that at least two people were hurt in the crash and taken to the hospital for treatment. Their identities were not released.

The exact circumstances of the accident were not released, though it is likely that the winter weather event may have played a role.

Authorities are diverting traffic to the Kickapoo Turnpike and I-35 as they work the crash.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area, as traffic delays and road closures remained likely.
