Bartlesville man killed in Vera crash

VERA, OK – A man from Bartlesville was killed Monday evening following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 75.

According to Bartlesville Radio, the accident took place at about 7:30 p.m. along the freeway near the intersection with 4000 Road, about 4 miles west of Vera.

Troopers say a Volkswagen Golf, driven by 56-year-old Scotty Hazelwood, collided with a 2000 Ford carrying three occupants.

Hazelwood was flown to St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, were he was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver in the Ford, 29-year-old Kevin Pryce, and both of his passengers sustained unknown injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
