Car collides with pole in SW OKC, 1 injured, over 2000 without power

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A vehicle collided with a pole in southwest Oklahoma City this evening, causing at least one person to be injured and over 2000 people to go without power.

According to KFOR, the crash happened near the intersection of S Eagle Lane and SW 29th Street at about 6:35 p.m., when a vehicle collided with a utility pole.

At least one person sustained an undisclosed injury as a result of the crash.

2484 customers of Oklahoma Gas & Electric went without power.

Authorities closed parts of 29th Street for the investigation and cleanup of the crash.

The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
